Applications for the Quantum Forward Challenge 2025 are open!
At QDNL, we’re entering a new phase and with it, a pivotal shift in how we use funding. We move from just supporting quantum innovation to accelerating it with end user purpose.
We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for the Quantum Forward Challenge – Life Sciences & Health, the first in a series of challenge-based funding programs designed to accelerate quantum innovation with real-world impact.
This challenge is built to support disruptive, use-case-driven projects that target concrete conditions in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. We’re looking for proposals that clearly articulate a potential quantum advantage and lay out a path with concrete milestones toward practical validation.
We’ve designed this programme to encourage bold feasibility studies — high-risk, high-gain R&D projects that require significant investment and solid preparation. Our structured approach ensures early risk-taking is matched with strategic follow-through, helping breakthroughs move from concept to application.
To be eligible, proposals must focus on building a strong foundation for groundbreaking R&D, clearly identifying the bottlenecks they aim to address and the pathway toward validation.
We invite ambitious consortia and stakeholders to submit their proposals before 24 November and help shape the future of quantum in health.
Learn more about the call in our Funding Corner.
